A Welcome Break Childcare – Older Drop-In Room (Green room)
Preschool Ages 2.5to 5 years (Max. 12)
In our Older Drop-In Room, your child will be given an opportunity to interact with other children, learn new skills, and use their imagination. We want you to relax and enjoy your welcome break knowing your child is well cared for and participating in age appropriate activities in a loving Christian environment.
We are grateful for your cooperation with the following guidelines, and may God’s love be evident to you through our actions and our attitudes.
Belongings
*Please LABEL EVERYTHING with your child’s name! This includes: backpack, lunch bag, wipes, cups, food containers, outerwear, etc.
*We will keep the following at AWB in your child’s bin: diapers/pull ups and wipes (if not potty trained), and full change of clothing (including socks).
*Bottles and pacifiers will not be used in this room.
Communication
Please communicate any messages (verbal or written) to the staff who answers the door (usually Mr. Robert). Mrs. Sibic is available for brief questions at drop-off or pick-up.

Lunch (AWB is NUT FREE)
*Send food in an INSULATED LUNCH BAG with an ICE PACK.
*Children should be able to feed themselves. Please prepare their lunch so that it is possible that they can open containers. We will help, but we encourage independence.
*Cut up fruits and veggies into small manageable pieces for your child.
*We will provide water and plastic utensils. We have access to a microwave.
*Please feed your child breakfast before they arrive at AWB as we do not have a morning snack time.
Drop-Offs
It is normal for children to cry at drop-off. In order to make the transition as easy as possible, we suggest a quick, cheerful goodbye. They will take their cues from you: if you seem calm and unworried about leaving them, they will become calmer and less worried about coming to AWB.
Donation
Please donate 3 rolls of paper towels & 3 packages of diaper wipes once during the year.

2:15pm Wake up and Bathroom/diapers

*Times are flexible according to the needs of the children. We will go outside when weather permits usually to Bayne Park or walks around Bellevue (with signed parent permission.)
*We prefer NOT to receive children during lunch. When possible, please avoid drop-off and pick-up from 11:45am-12:15pm.
